Add to that narrow road riddled with potholes and devoid of shoulders and you have a recipe for disaster.If I did drive in Hungary, I might consider a Trabant, an old relic of the socialist era. With the potential for fender benders and car theft, this seems like a good option.
The whole mess makes me a bigger fan of taking public transportation in this country, especially trains.
